InProduction’s recycling program is helping PGA TOUR and LIV tournaments divert thousands of pounds of mesh from landfills while supporting GEO certification goals.

Mesh is a critical material in live events. It wraps structures, fences, barricades, and platforms, often printed with logos or graphics, and helps transform temporary builds into professional, branded venues.

But until recently, most mesh ended up in landfills after an event. InProduction launched its mesh recycling program to change that — and the results in 2025 show how sustainability can scale across golf and beyond.

Mesh recycling impact in 2025

•  87,912 pounds of mesh recycled

•  More than 2 million square feet of material diverted from landfills

•  Individual tournaments diverting between 2,000 and 12,000 pounds each

•  PGA TOUR and many LIV tournaments now in their first or second year of participation

Tournament partners leading the way

The PGA TOUR has embraced mesh recycling, with events including the Mitsubishi Electric Classic, Valero Texas Open, Zurich Classic, CJ Cup Byron Nelson, US Open, US Senior Open, Cognizant Classic, Arnold Palmer Invitational, Valspar Championship, American Family Insurance Championship, Principal Charity Classic, Meijer LPGA Classic, and THE PLAYERS all participating.

Additional totals will be reported soon from the BMW Championship and TOUR Championship.

Many U.S. LIV Golf events also participated in 2025, including tournaments in Virginia, Dallas, Chicago, Indianapolis, Michigan, and Miami. Several are now in year two of the program, proving that mesh diversion can quickly become part of standard operations.

Why mesh recycling matters

Post-event diversion is one of the most difficult aspects of sustainability, but it is also one of the most impactful. By recycling mesh, we:

•  Reduce waste

•  Extend the lifecycle of materials

•  Support tournament GEO certification goals

Events like Zurich and LIV Michigan demonstrate how mesh recycling can be the tipping point in achieving GEO certification, which is increasingly important for leading tournaments.

Collaboration makes it possible

The program is made possible through collaboration with Blue Strike Environmental, WM, and our tournament partners. Together, we are building a practical and scalable path to reduce waste at major sporting events.

What’s next

Mesh recycling is only the beginning. The same principles can be applied to other event materials, creating a more sustainable model for live event infrastructure across sports, entertainment, and beyond.
