Boston welcomed The Laver Cup to the TD Garden from September 24th through the 26th. In order to maximize the fan experience, they needed seating with different sightlines than are typically required for the hockey and basketball games played in the arena. To meet the need, InProduction brought in just under 3,000 tiered padded VIP seats, transforming TD Garden from a basketball and ice rink into a world class tennis venue. The structure was custom designed to match the bowl shape of the arena and built from the floor up into the existing tiered seating. This not only provided an exceptional viewing experience but allowed the fans seamless accessibility to the concourses for concessions and bathrooms. The many custom components needed for this turn key project were designed and fabricated by In Production’s manufacturing facilities in New York and South Carolina. The installation took 7 days to build with a combination of InProduction’s trained assembly teams and the local Stagehands Union.
We wanted to share some pictures of our seats (can you tell ours from the permanent ones), and the event itself.
Congratulations to the Laver Cup Team and all who were involved in making this event a huge success!
